Job Description
Summary of Position:
Warehousing associates are required for a pharmaceutical distribution centre in Halton Region. Duties will include picking and packing orders, lifting and loading products and other general warehousing duties.
Classification: Material Handler
Title: GL (General Labour)
Primary Function: Support and work with department team on all pick and pack activities
Minimum Qualification:
- High School Diploma
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Experience within a Warehouse/Distribution Environment
- Be able to pass Background Screening
- Be able to provide two work related references
Essential Qualifications:
- A capability to work within a diverse group of contributors
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under time constraints while still recognizing the importance of inventory accuracy
- Familiar with Health and Safety regulations in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift occasionally 40 lb boxes
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule
- Self-motivated
- Willingness to be cross-trained
- Strong customer service orientation
- Contributes as a team player
Responsibilities:
- Ensure work area is kept clean and free of obstructions
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Fill customer orders and ensure constant flow of freight to consolidation
- Complete and accurate order filling
- Receives orders
- Picking and packing orders
- Scanning product
- May conduct physical inventories as required
- Must be able to reach targets
- Perform activities such as auditing, line feed, sorting, closing, staging, receiving and shipping
- Perform any other functions as required and as directed
Shifts Available:
Mondays to Fridays Only Schedule:
Day Shift: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Afternoon Shift: 4:00 pm to 12:00 am midnight
Night Shift: 12:00 am midnight to 8:00 am
Sunday to Thursday Days Only Schedule: Day Shift: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuesday to Saturday Days Only Schedule: Day Shift: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Weekend Shifts Schedules:
Saturday and Sunday Only: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 4 Day Schedule:
Fridays and Mondays: Days: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturdays and Sundays: Days: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Salary: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour depending on shift
